“‘Hepworth’ was inspired by a visit to the Barbara Hepworth Museum & Sculpture Garden in St Ives, Cornwall. I was struck by how much of the artist’s personality shone through every room and piece there. The music was a response to the unmistakeable aura of the artist rather than any one particular sculpture—in fact, her unfinished work spoke louder to me than the well-known pieces. The fact that Hepworth’s imagination can fire our own long after she’s gone is exciting and quite extraordinary.”
