Ekaterina Pavlova

Ekaterina Pavlova (she) is a Russian photographer born in Omsk. She studied at Dostoevsky Omsk State University, graduating with honours from the Faculty of Psychology in 2013. In 2014, Ekaterina began her creative activity in the field of photography, shooting her first project, Souls, in 2020 and 2021 while organizing an exhibition in Omsk and becoming a laureate in the Vienna International Photo Awards. Currently, she is working on a new project, Motherhood on the inside out.

“Based on Michael Newton’s book Journey of Souls (1994), I dare to assume that life after death does not stop. We live in our souls, go through life lessons, suffer, fulfill our missions, and return to Earth again. My Souls series proposes that everything that happens to us is not accidental. We choose our parents, and we choose who to be—and in what body to live—in order to learn certain lessons.”
