Collusion Books is a canadian micro-press for collaborative poetry.

For announcements & submission calls, follow Collusion Books on social media or subscribe to our newsletter.

Collusion Books is currently open for unsolicited submissions

We accept chapbook-length manuscripts (up to 48 pages) of collaborative poetry for print publication. Conceptual, formal, & speculative works are particularly welcome.

Collusion is a design-forward press, and we love collaborating with poets on the editing process and on exploring design options that compliment or enhance their work. Only in rare circumstances do we print chapbooks that have been pre-designed by the poets, so if submitting your chapbook as print-ready as a PDF, please explain your design decisions in the “collaborative process” field.

Each manuscript must be a unified collaborative project. While poems or components of the project may be created individually, the manuscript as a whole should be conceived and composed by two or more actively & equally contributing authors. At least one collaborator must currently reside in the Indigenous territories claimed by Canada (regardless of citizenship status).

We’re currently considering titles for print publication in 2026. Initial print run is 70 copies.

Compensation is 20 print copies (+ free shipping within Canada) divided evenly among collaborators. Each collaborator has access to more print copies at cost (printing + shipping).

Collusion welcomes sequences of collaborative poetry—as well as cross-art collaborations with poetic elements—for digital publication in the occasional anthology series 2×4.

Each submission (6 to 10 poems and/or artworks) must be a unified collaborative project. While individual poems/artworks may be created solo, the project as a whole must be conceived and composed by two actively & equally collaborating artists. This shared

Publication is digital, with 2×4 editions offered on a pay-what-you-want basis. All reader donations toward an edition of 2×4 are split among that edition’s contributors, and all contributors & donors receive an exclusive ebook adaptation of the digital chapbook.

Submit via the form below by AUGUST 31 to be considered for publication in 2×4^3 (fall, 2021). Submissions received by this date will also be considered for publication in 2×4^4 (spring, 2022).

currently open for unsolicited submissions

By submitting to Collusion Books, you claim both of the above. Nevertheless, please tick each box.

We do not consider individually authored manuscripts. These are not read and receive no response.
Collusion Books operates entirely online, so it's very helpful for us to know which social media platforms, websites, or previously published authors/artists are helping new folks discover us.

1. Collaborators' Info

List the names of all collaborators, separated by commas.
List the email addresses of all collaborators, separated by commas.
Enter a bio (~100 to ~200 words) for each collaborator.
Please write bios in the 3rd person (not using "I"/"we") and include your pronouns ("they"/"she"/"he" or similar).

2. Manuscript

Drag & Drop Files, Choose Files to Upload
Upload your manuscript as a single DOC or PDF file. If any included images require a higher resolution, you can provide these after a publication offer.
We select manuscripts for publication based on the quality of their poetry—not on the degree to which their collaborative composition was novel, unconventional, or innovative. Sure, new approaches intrigue, but your process description primarily helps us get to know you as collaborators, so please let your personalities shine.
